Through our women’s empowerment programs, we provide assistance to women through our Livelihood program, offer a Safe House in times of crises, provide Women Family Support, and engage in Women Advocacy on issues such as gender-based violence, sexual harassment, violence against women, women’s rights, and female genital mutilation.
Empowering Women: Fostering Resilience, Support, and Advocacy
Introduction
At the Worldwide Women’s Forum, we are committed to empowering women and fostering their resilience, independence, and overall well-being. Our women’s empowerment programs are designed to provide comprehensive assistance and support to women facing various challenges. Through our Livelihood program, Safe House initiative, Women Family Support, and Women Advocacy, we strive to create a safe and enabling environment where women can thrive and contribute to positive change.
Livelihood Program
Our Livelihood program focuses on equipping women with the necessary skills, resources, and opportunities to achieve economic independence. We offer vocational training, entrepreneurship development, and financial literacy programs that empower women to start their own businesses or secure employment. By promoting women’s economic empowerment, we aim to break cycles of poverty, enhance self-confidence, and foster long-term financial stability for women and their families.
Creating safe space, safe House or accommodation support for women and children
In times of crises, poverty and precarity, homeless we provide a Safe House to women who are facing situations of domestic violence, abuse, or other forms of harm. Our Safe House scheme offers to subside rent for a secure and supportive environment where women can find temporary refuge, while they receive counseling, access legal support, and rebuild their lives free from violence via over stakeholders. We work closely with our beneficiaries to get support from local authorities and organizations to ensure the safety and well-being of women seeking refuge in our Safe House.
Women Family Support
We have a small program support team who support the women in our network. We understand that women often face multiple challenges within the context of their families. Our Women Family Support program provides comprehensive assistance and guidance to women in managing family-related issues, including parenting support, access to healthcare services, financial planning, and counseling. By strengthening family dynamics and supporting women in their roles as caregivers, we aim to create a nurturing environment where women and their families can thrive.
Women Advocacy
Through our Women Advocacy initiatives, we actively work to address issues such as gender-based violence, sexual harassment, violence against women, women’s rights, and female genital mutilation. We raise awareness, promote dialogue, and advocate for policy changes and legal reforms that protect and uphold women’s rights. By amplifying women’s voices and engaging with key stakeholders, we strive to create a society that is inclusive, equitable, and free from violence and discrimination.
